"Come See, Come Sea", art show and sale in the Lighthouse Gallery featuring original oil, watercolor, acrylic and pastel pieces and three-dimensional work. All art will be available for sale throughout the exhibit dates. Opening reception and awards presentation Friday, March 28, 7pm. A celebration of creative expression to include art, theater, music and photography along with classes and demonstrations of South Jersey folk arts for both children and adults.

"Transportation to the Jersey Shore"
10am to 5pm
Visit two traveling exhibits combined with Tuckerton Seaport's research and artifacts - see Ocean County Historical Society's exhibit on the Trains of Ocean County which tells the story of how transportation changed tourism and the local economy. The Middlesex County Cultural and Heritage Commission's "Down the Shore" exhibit highlights fun in the sun and the communities that grew around the shore vacation spots. What did the original shoobies and bennies wear to the beach? View clothing and artifacts that tourists of the early 1900s brought with them on vacation to the Jersey Shore.

"Culture in Context: A Tapestry of Expression" a NJ State Museum Exhibit
10am to 5pm
Discover first-hand the traditional arts of New Jersey. This exhibition brings together diverse traditions - ethnic, regional and occupational - to provide visitors with an exciting opportunity to learn about the peoples and cultures that make New Jersey home. This exhibit features programs and demonstrations by NJ folk artists including carvers, basket makers and musicians.

"Key Ingredients: America by Food" a Smithsonian Exhibit
Visitors will experience the many connections between local food, history and culture. A traveling exhibit jointly sponsored by the NJ Council for the Humanities and the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service.

"Holiday through the Decades"

See the Seaport decorated for the holidays! Exhibit features trees and holiday decorations spanning the decades from the 1850s to the 1980s. New this year: each decade will focus on a different ethnic tradition and holiday food!

2nd Annual Barbeque & Bluegrass Jamboree

Kick off the summer with the down home sounds of Bluegrass and the sweet smell of barbeque in celebration of National Barbeque Month. Crafters, vendors, food & refreshments, family activities, demonstrations, boat rides and music by Home Cookin', Up & Running and more.

16th Annual Baymen's Seafood & Music Festival
10am to 5pm
Enjoy delicious Jersey fresh clams, crabs, scallops and shrimp from the finest local seafood purveyors. After you satisfy your appetite, move your feet to the beat of live, toe-tapping entertainment. Speak with commercial fishermen to learn about occupations on the bay or take a clam shucking class. Crafters, vendors, food & refreshments, family activities, demonstrations, boat rides and more. Bring the family and plan to spend the whole day. Listed as one of the "Top 50 Ways to Celebrate the Coming of Spring" in Midwest, the in-flight magazine of Midwest Airlines.

Team up with the Tuckerton Seaport for a perfect afternoon of wine tasting from New Jersey's finest wineries plus live blues entertainment, food & refreshments, crafts, vendors and more. Bring your beach chair and plan to spend a great afternoon listening to the sounds of James Day & the Fish Fry, Heart Fulla Bluz, Cobra Brothers and The Incinerators.

Down Bay Wine Tasting Gala

Tuckerton Seaport's premier fundraising event! In addition to tasting over 200 of the country's top wines guests well have the opportunity to dine on delicious hors d'oeuvres, enjoy a superb carving station and delightful desserts. Bid on excellent auction items while mingling with friends, family and other Seaport supporters.

Enjoy an evening of entertainment with "sea monsters, man-eating sharks plus traditional songs and chanties of the sea", plus a brief history of the US Lifesaving Service. Fun for the whole family! In partnership with the LBI Historical Society, and sponsored by the G. Anderson Agency.

Classic Sail Fest

Join us for this exciting event celebrating the culture of the area! Demonstrations, contests, seminars, decoy auction, crafters, carvers, vendors, food & refreshments, music, entertainment, sail skiff races, sneakbox races, rubber duck race and lots of fun. An old-fashioned holiday market featuring crafts and gifts under a huge heated tent. Tuckerton Seaport, a project of the Barnegat Bay Decoy & Baymen's Museum, is a maritime village located along the historic Tuckerton Creek in Tuckerton, NJ. Tuckerton Seaport's pristine 40-acre site includes 19 historic and recreated buildings connected by a ¾ mile long boardwalk, a nature trail, two houseboats, a decoy gallery, a working boatworks building in which restoration of sneakbox designs of the Barnegat bay occur, a historic marine railway currently under construction, decoy carving workshops and the recreated Tucker's Island Lighthouse. Demonstrations and traditional artists bring the Jersey Shore's rich maritime heritage to life.
